Description
The scanner is fitted with a matched pipeline guide, and its body is a remotely controlled crawler. It is suitable for metallic and non-metallic pipes. The steel guide band is fixed on the round component and the crawler runs along the guide carrying several pairs of probes. The rail design keeps a constant distance between the probe and the weld, which allows fast, automated inspection of circumferential welds. Different diameters require different guides.
