Description

In precision industrial testing, instrument miniaturisation and a favourable performance-to-price ratio are becoming the new user expectation. In non-destructive testing for aerospace, power generation and rail transport, the requirements for handiness and economy are especially high in field work and where access is limited. The new ROBUST L1 series (16/128 boards) from Guangzhou Doppler is an efficient and economical answer to those needs.

Key features

  • Small size — always at hand — The ROBUST L1 series has a compact design, small dimensions and low mass (approx. 1 kg), which makes it ideal for field inspection and system integration where space is limited — it is easy to mount and deploy. Despite the compact dimensions, performance has not been cut back. The board inherits the ruggedness and reliability of the Doppler product line, performs in demanding industrial conditions and forms a durable foundation for the stability of the whole system.
  • Complete functionality and wide application — Although the ROBUST L1 is positioned as a lighter and more economical solution, its functionality remains complete. The board integrates three inspection modes — PA, TFM and PWI — flexibly meeting varied non-destructive testing requirements. It supports A/B/S/C/TFM/TopC presentations and combined modes, as well as full encoder data recording. The board supports all kinds of automated phased array ultrasonic system platforms and provides extended hardware and software interfaces for in-house application development. This leaves room for future function customisation and system expansion.
  • An economical choice without compromising performance — The ROBUST L1 series uses a hardware architecture with 128 transmit and 16 receive channels. Cost has been reduced significantly while high performance is retained, and the board still delivers excellent characteristics in most typical inspection applications. For companies and start-up teams with a limited budget that want to adopt advanced phased array technology, the L1 series is an excellent entry and expansion option.
