Description
The same angle as the plain angle wedge, but ready for rough surfaces and for pipe. Composite anti-wear pins take the friction, so the contact face does not wear out after a few metres of scanning, and the axial contour for a Φ326 mm outside diameter keeps contact steady during circumferential scanning.
Features
- 55° refraction, shear wave
- Composite anti-wear pins — longer wedge life
- AOD contour: axial, for a Φ326 mm outside diameter (circumferential scanning)
- Water feed and scanner yoke mounting points
- DP2 housing
Technical data
| Model | SDP2-N55S-IHC-AOD326 |
| Probe housing | DP2 |
| Refraction angle | 55° |
| Wave mode | shear |
| Length L | 41 mm |
| Width W | 30 mm |
| Height H | 27.29 mm |
| Curvature | Φ326 mm, axial on the outside diameter |
| Wedge velocity | 2337 m/s |
The AOD326 suffix means “axial on a 326 mm outside diameter” — the wedge is machined for that specific pipe. Other diameters and curvature types (AID, COD, CID, SOD, SID) are made to order.
