Description
TR probes have separate transmitting and receiving crystals, so they create a defined focal distance in the component under test. The absence of an initial pulse dead zone and lower scattering give a higher signal-to-noise ratio in highly attenuating materials.
Features
- No initial pulse dead zone
- Less scattering, higher SNR in high-attenuation materials
- Good coupling on curved and rough surfaces
- Two performance types: PL (universal) and C (composite)
- European standard, Lemo 00 (C5) side mounting connector
Specifications
- Frequencies: 1–5 MHz
- Element dimensions: Φ9/2, Φ11/2, 3.5 × 10 mm
Applications
- Corrosion monitoring
- Remaining wall thickness measurement
- Coating measurement
- Near-surface flaw detection
- Cracks, pores and inclusions in forgings
